Douglas Shaw served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 ½ years as a jet engine mechanic.  While serving, Doug also completed his Bachelor’s Degree with a double major in Corporate Training and Development and Aviation Maintenance Technology with a minor in Business Administration.

He has been an Air Force Instructor, has over 20 years of supervisory experience and personnel management.  Doug received degrees from Wayland Baptist University and the Community College of the Air Force.

Doug and Valerie, his wife, have been franchise owners since March 2015 of Assisting Hands Home Care in the Phoenix Metro area and Scottsdale, Arizona.  They have approximately 250 employees.

Doug served with Honeywell for more than 10 years. He managed production of the T-55, CTS800 and HTS900 engine assembly lines.
